God commanded nations and peoples to spread out across the whole earth.
This plan was established in the beginning. According to the Genesis record of God and His dealings with men. So that men would spread out and live happily within “the bounds of their habitation.” (Acts 17:26)
No nation or people has ever existed outside of the influence of God.
Meaning, that every nation knows what is right and what is wrong. This has always been the case. Even with those tribes that have existed in the most remote corners of the world.
But this is not a popular belief.
Dramatically Different Foundational Beliefs
Evolutionary dogma teaches that men are simply sophisticated animals. Whose religion has developed over hundreds of thousands of years — from polytheism to monotheism.
Which, in popular teaching, makes God a mere construct of man’s imagination. Which would eliminate the existence of a supreme being. Especially of one, all-encompassing entity, that has created and managed all things.
The logical conclusion of this thinking is that governments of the world are merely the product of provincial creation. Based on whatever social and mythological ideas are preferred by a specific group in a specific area. And definitely not tied to any shared knowledge of truth or God.
But that is not what the Bible teaches.
What we know from the scriptures is that God has established His truth upon all the earth. That there is a basic truth that all men know. They hold the truth of God and His righteousness in the core of their being.
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)
And that all governments have been given the mandate to conform to God’s truth and righteousness.
And that God rewards and punishes men and nations according to their obedience to God’s established principles. And according to whether they seek Him personally.
This puts a whole different spin on the world’s idea of diversity. Which tries to paint all ideas and all opinions as having equal value. Where men are told to embrace all the different flavors of culture and morality as good things.
The Bible does not teach this.
The Narrow Way
God has established His own way. And it is a Narrow way. A Straight way. And it is in direct contradiction to the ways of the world.
God withholds the rain from one people and blesses another. All according to His own will and purpose. And judges men according to their trust in Him.
This is not to say that a nation is all good or all bad. But its leaders and its peoples are all weighed in the Lord’s own balance as to how He deals with a specific group. And the group is often blessed or suffers together.
The Absence of America in Scripture
In this season of reflection on America’s Independence, we must remember that this nation, with all its failures and problems, began its journey by placing the Bible as the foundation of its laws and morals. And that the Bible was given free course for preaching and teaching throughout this country.
And God blessed us accordingly.
Today, we are fighting to maintain that most basic of freedoms. Struggling to believe and to preach based upon the authority of the word of God without fear of censure or punishment by those who reject the Bible.
But that freedom is being withdrawn.
And as the Lord’s voice is being silenced in the classrooms and the public forum, we must expect that the protecting hand of the Lord will likewise be withdrawn.
As men seek to put their own ideas and principles above the Lord’s truth, He will not be mocked. While this falling away progresses, any prosperity that our nation might experience will only be for a season.
As long as we continue our downward path away from Christ.
America is conspicuously absent in those biblical passages dealing with prophecy. There is nothing in the Bible that clearly identifies our existence into the Last Days.
Which means one of two things.
Either our identity is lost as we are assimilated into the other nations that will be prominent in those dark, end times of scripture.
America will be destroyed.
Americans must wake up and turn to Christ and His word while we still have time.
