To Know God “Personally”

Last week, I was listening to a Catholic apologist on the radio. He was speaking about how Pope Benedict stressed, along with others within Catholic leadership, the importance of “having a personal relationship with God”.

Now, many will hear this and think nothing out of the ordinary about this. As if this is just something normal for Catholicism to teach.

But this really surprised me.

It is important to understand that the man who was speaking on the radio, had been an Evangelical before he converted to Catholicism. He has been a Catholic now for 22 years.

He also claimed that Catholicism offered “a more direct way to God”. Than supposedly the Evangelical or Fundamental route.

Again, this got my attention.

Bigfoot Thoughts

Back when I first started this blog, I mentioned the desire to discuss a wide variety of topics. Such as the Paranormal field, UFOs, and, my personal favorite, Sasquatch.

And to deal with these subjects from a specifically Christian perspective.

Now, many people who come to this sight might have no interest in these topics. Or may think that I should not have any interest in these topics. As if Christians should not think about or discuss such trivial things.

Or that, by discussing this stuff, the Christian message loses credibility. As if to say, that believing in Bigfoot is just foolishness; like believing in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny.

To which I must reply, What do you mean there’s no Santa Claus?! And are you telling me there is no Easter Bunny?!

Fire Sky Reserve

God commanded nations and peoples to spread out across the whole earth.

This plan was established in the beginning. According to the Genesis record of God and His dealings with men. So that men would spread out and live happily within “the bounds of their habitation.” (Acts 17:26)

No nation or people has ever existed outside of the influence of God.

Meaning, that every nation knows what is right and what is wrong. This has always been the case. Even with those tribes that have existed in the most remote corners of the world.

But this is not a popular belief.
