Sword Lily by Melanie from Pixabay

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. ” (Luke 12:24-30)

One of the greatest and simplest demonstrations of the Creator’s design is that of the simple seed.

Whether it is the seed of a weed or a tree or a flower, in every case, there is simply no explanation for the origin of a seed.

There is no “natural selection” process that has taken place here. Nor is there any “will” of a plant to survive which could ever explain where all the information came from that is locked into every seed upon the earth.

There is no reason for a seed to try to “improve” upon itself. Which the evolutionist wishfully dreams must drive such simple organisms to ascend up the evolutionary scale.

How could anyone ever make sense of the miracle that a simple seed could “evolve” into a beautiful rose?

Or even attempt to answer that great mystery: Which came first? The seed or the flower?!

Those who deny the existence of God or His special acts of Creation are fools.

There is simply no excusing such men or women. Yet the world is filled with them.

They would rather believe in the idea that all that we see is the result of random chance. Or of “the will” of the creature. Or of the triumph of nature.

Or of some incredible nonsense like that.

Information that Had to Come from Somewhere

Yet, in thinking of the seed, where did the information to make a tree or a flower come from? How did such a hard, simple, miniscule object contain all the organized, programmed, and precisely-timed data to create the the lillies of the field? Or the stupendous cedar trees of Sequoia or Kings Canyon National Parks?

Not to mention the countless fruits that grow all over the world. Each designed to grow, in very specific climates and soil types.

And not just one seed to produce one plant, mind you; but a seed that consistently produces the same plant over and over and over again.

A specific seed that is programmed to produce a specific flower or tree or fruit – even with more seeds within that fruit. So that the process can continue

Information is the “Kiss of Death” for the Evolutionist

Consider that life on earth could not exist without these plants. And also that each of the organisms in the supposed evolutionary chain would require their own special diet. Everything timed to appear exactly when and where it was needed. Timed to meet a specific need at a specific moment in a specific place over the supposed, “countless eons” of time.

How could that timing have taken place? Even just once?

With all the water, air, sunlight, soil types, different nutrients needed for growth, and every one of the seemingly infinite considerations required for plant growth.

After all, I can easily kill off my favorite fern if I don’t water it properly. Too much or too little, too cold or too hot, too much sun or too much shade, and my little green fern is toast.

But what happens to the odds when we start calculating “chance”?

When we start calculating the odds for all the infinitely different sequences of events necessary in order for a seed to germinate and grow and reach maturity?

It’s ridiculous to say this about even one plant. Let alone about a whole garden full of them? Or a whole planet filled with them?!

Information is the “kiss of death” for the atheist, for the old-earth creationist, and for any who claim to believe in biblical inerrancy while also holding to evolution as God’s means of creation.

Because this is all about information on an infinite scale programmed into all these organisms.

Each designed to grow at precisely the right time, in precisely the right way, and in precisely the right place. And to predictably continue to grow over and over again to feed the struggling, little, evolutionary slime beings; yearning to grow up to someday become an unbelieving, intellectual fool.

The Lord is the Great Programmer

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Creator, did all this.

He made the seed and brought it to maturity overnight.

In order to feed the man He created from the dust of the earth. And not from the dust of death – filled with the molecular debris of a billion years of evolution.

He created a single man, in maturity, in a single day, whom He named Adam. One man alone and not some dude singled-out from a supposed 1000+ club of less-than-man hominids.

Adam was created to live in a perfect world without physical or spiritual death. In order to have endless, unbroken fellowship with Adam. The first of his race.

Because the Lord didn’t need to use some the bogus, limited, and flawed processes of evolution to do it.

He did it by the word of His power and by the breath of His mouth.

He spoke . . . and it was done.

HAPPY EASTER!!
