In continuing this discussion of Service versus Teaching — and that is really what I am speaking of here — please, allow me to explain a few things.
I am sick of people using the term, “legalism”, to silence those who defend doctrine or defend solid biblical positions. Or using the term, “Pharisee”, in the same way.
I find it dishonest when they do that. I would also say it is laziness for leaders and laypeople to use this tactic.
Calling people, “Pharisee” or “Legalist” has become the default position for Evangelicals to diminish doctrine in favor of an emphasis on “love”. This is a popular tactic used to force fellow Christians into subservience to the “love-is-all-we-need” mentality.
These are the Last Days.
Many prophecy experts say that no further prophesies remain to be fulfilled before the Rapture of the church. Before that moment, when we shall meet the Lord in the air. In the twinkling of an eye.
Where we shall be changed and be forever with the Lord.
We are approaching that great pivotal moment in history which will shake the very foundations of the world.
In these last moments, the church is in “the valley of decision”. Her choices will allow the Lord to manifest Himself to the world or they will obscure the gospel for untold multitudes of people.
