So, the other day I heard someone refer to those who are “uneducated” as being inferior to those who are “educated”.
The context was in comparing those who live in the agricultural communities of the Midwest with those who live in the large “educated” cities and cultural centers.
This person actually shocked me by his bold frankness.
By openly stating that those who have received a “higher” education are more reasonable, tolerant, and just better people than those who’ve only earned a high school diploma. Or who’ve only received some trade-school equivalent – at best.
