When Christian Leaders Deny the Word of God

I look carefully at the Bible atlases that are sold in the Christian bookstores.

And, sadly, most of them are predictably wrong on a couple of the same things.

Such as the route of the Exodus and the general point where Israel crossed the Red Sea. And even the location of Mount Sinai.

However, I pretty much expect mainstream Christian publishers to take the “party line” on these things.

Especially since mainstream Christian theologians tend to have specific axes to grind about biblical miracles. About miracles they simply refuse to believe.

Are You Walking by Works Instead of Faith?

Rusted Old Plane

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:” (Colossians 2:6)

Perhaps the most common error we make as born-again believers, is to deviate from the path of simple faith in God’s word. Which means we are drawn aside to follow some rabbit trail in pursuing some unbiblical way of living this new life.

Did Jesus Die for YOU?

The doctrine of the supposedLimited Atonement” of Christ is held by many religious groups within “Christendom”.

But it is not a biblically-sound belief.

Did Jesus Die for YOU? – Absolutely!

The Cross and Fire

Belief in a “limited atonement” is a doctrinal consequence caused by compromises made by both Martin Luther and John Calvin when they failed to fully reject some of the Catholic heresies during the Reformation.

And even though they were able to break away from the tyrannical control of the Catholic system itself, they still held onto some heretical Catholic theology – evidenced by deeply their doctrines were influenced by the theology of Augustine (an extremely faithful Catholic theologian).

Instead of fully removing the leaven of spiritual compromise from their churches.

Will A.I.’s Be Restricted from “Doing Harm” to Humans?

The path that A.I. will take is inevitable.

Because A.I. will never be any better than the men who have programmed it.

It will reflect and carry out those directives that have been locked within it.

By men.

Making decisions based upon the priorities that the programmers have selected.

Changing our lives based upon the beliefs of those who have the power to direct the course A.I. will take.

When A.I. ReWrites the Bible

Robot writing on Laptop

I was watching Glenn Beck yesterday on YouTube. He was discussing a report about criminals who are using A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) voice fakes to scam people.

The discussion also revealed that A.I. has been rewriting the biblical book of Genesis. Changing a bit here and a bit there to promote A.I.’s own cultural, moral, and philosophical “preferences”.

(Which would definitely be a more cultural-friendly translation than the KJV I use.)

Which makes me wonder what the Christians who’ve been using the new translations (those other than the KJV) will say about all this?

Or, to put it another way, how in the heck Christians are going to defend the accuracy of their popular Bible texts against the corruptions that A.I. will inevitably produce?

And what foundation such Christians are still presuming to stand upon? When they are challenged to defend the scriptures they claim are divinely inspired of God?

The End of “So-Called” Tolerance

Thumbs Down Tie Dye

In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” (Judges 21:25)

Our Postmodern, Post-Christian society thinks that they are unique, intellectual, and thoughtful. And that they are loving and tolerant of all things.

Except, of course, when it comes to having any tolerance for biblical faithfulness.

But, in reality, Postmodernism is simply an ancient idea packaged for consumption by a new generation of wicked men and women.

Do Doctrines Really Divide the Church?

cute skunk

I heard a phrase recently while listening to a podcast.

A pastor was reviewing the spiritual struggles of the churches over the last 150 years. Basically since the Civil War.

He was discussing the movement of seminaries away from solid, biblical authority. Showing the rise of spiritual Modernism and Liberalism in places like Princeton. And how those trained in the seminaries and Christian colleges brought their weak teachings back to the churches.

Which has been a problem affecting all denominations.

He also spoke of the formation of Fundamentalism, the creation of the National Association of Evangelicals, and the rise of the New Evangelical movement.

New Evangelicalism is a spiritual philosophy that has become the foundation of virtually every church in our modern age.

One of the main “doctrines” of New Evangelicalism is that “doctrine divides while service unites“.
